Compression Type Galvanized Thin-walled Wire Conduit

Compression Type Galvanized Thin-walled Wire Conduit

Details
KBG galvanized thin-walled electrical conduits are a type of thin-walled metal conduits commonly used in building electrical wiring. They are made of high-quality low-carbon steel as the base material, which is cold-rolled into shape and then hot-dip galvanized on the surface to form a uniform zinc protective layer. This not only ensures a certain structural strength but also provides good corrosion resistance. Meanwhile, the thin-walled design makes them lightweight, facilitating transportation and installation.

Technical Parameters

KBG galvanized thin-walled electrical conduits are a type of thin-walled metal conduits commonly used in building electrical wiring. They are made of high-quality low-carbon steel as the base material, which is cold-rolled into shape and then hot-dip galvanized on the surface to form a uniform zinc protective layer. This not only ensures a certain structural strength but also provides good corrosion resistance. Meanwhile, the thin-walled design makes them lightweight, facilitating transportation and installation.

In terms of functions, the core role of KBG conduits is to protect and organize wires and cables. Their closed tubular structure can effectively isolate external mechanical impacts, friction, and extrusion, preventing damage to the cable insulation layer and reducing the risk of short circuits and electric leakage. The galvanized layer can resist erosion from moisture and dust, slowing down the aging of the conduits and internal cables. In addition, the metal material has a certain electromagnetic shielding effect, reducing interference from external electromagnetic signals on the cables inside the conduits and ensuring stable transmission of weak electrical signals. They adopt crimping or compression connection methods without the need for welding, featuring convenient installation and good sealing performance, which can meet the wiring needs of concealed environments such as walls and floor slabs.

They have a wide range of applications: In civil buildings, they are often used for concealed or exposed wiring in indoor ceilings, walls, and floors, protecting strong electrical cables such as lighting and sockets, as well as weak electrical cables such as network and telephone lines. In the electrical systems of commercial buildings and office buildings, they are used in conjunction with cable trays to realize layered organization of cables, complying with fire protection and electrical specifications. Due to their thin-walled characteristics and corrosion resistance, they are also suitable for renovation projects with restrictions on load-bearing and space, making them a cost-effective and practical common conduit in modern building electrical wiring.

Specific Description

Material Types

Mainly include galvanized steel pipes (JDG/KBG), welded steel pipes, and stainless steel pipes (304/316), adapting to different anti-corrosion requirements

Nominal Diameter

Commonly used DN15 (Φ20), DN20 (Φ25), DN25 (Φ32) up to DN100 (Φ114), corresponding to different cable specifications

Wall Thickness Specifications

Thin-walled type 0.8mm-1.2mm (e.g., JDG pipes), thick-walled type 1.5mm-3.0mm (e.g., welded steel pipes); can be thickened for load-bearing scenarios

Standard Length

Conventional 6m per piece; some thin-walled pipes are 3m per piece, supporting cutting according to engineering needs

Connection Methods

Divided into crimping type (JDG), clamping type (KBG), threaded connection (thick-walled pipes), and welding (special scenarios)

Anti-corrosion Performance

Galvanized pipes have a zinc layer thickness ≥85μm; stainless steel pipes have salt spray resistance ≥500 hours, suitable for humid/outdoor environments

Compressive Strength

Lateral pressure resistance ≥1.5MPa, impact strength ≥10kJ/m², suitable for buried or exposed installation in mechanically vibrating environments

Surface Treatment

Galvanized pipes are hot-dip galvanized or electro-galvanized; stainless steel pipes are brushed or mirrored; some have a plastic coating to enhance anti-corrosion

Bending Performance

Cold bending radius ≥6 times the pipe diameter; no cracks after bending, flattening rate ≤10%, facilitating on-site construction and wiring

Applicable Standards

Complies with GB/T 3091 (low-pressure fluid transport pipes), GB/T 19228 (conduits for building electrical systems) and other specifications
