Hot Dip Galvanized Perforated Cable Tray

Hot Dip Galvanized Perforated Cable Tray

Details
Hot-dip galvanized cable trays are cable support devices formed by immersing steel in molten zinc to create a uniform galvanized layer on the surface. They are made of low-carbon steel as the base material, and after hot-dip galvanizing treatment, they combine the strength of steel with the protective properties of the zinc layer. The zinc layer, usually over 85μm thick, adheres tightly to the steel surface, providing both physical and electrochemical protection.

Technical Parameters

Hot-dip galvanized cable trays are cable support devices formed by immersing steel in molten zinc to create a uniform galvanized layer on the surface. They are made of low-carbon steel as the base material, and after hot-dip galvanizing treatment, they combine the strength of steel with the protective properties of the zinc layer. The zinc layer, usually over 85μm thick, adheres tightly to the steel surface, providing both physical and electrochemical protection.

Their features are notable: Firstly, they have excellent corrosion resistance. The zinc layer isolates air and moisture from the steel, enabling a service life of 15-20 years in dry or moderately humid environments. Secondly, they have a robust structure; the high strength of the base material ensures they can bear a large number of cables, with strong impact resistance, making them suitable for heavy-load scenarios. Thirdly, they are moderately priced, more economical than stainless steel cable trays, offering high cost performance. Fourthly, they are easy to install, allowing splicing via bolts to adapt to various wiring needs such as straight lines and turns.

In terms of applications, they are widely used in the laying of power and control cables in industrial plants and warehousing logistics centers, ensuring stable power supply for workshop equipment. They resist natural environmental erosion in municipal projects such as road lighting and sewage treatment plants in outdoor or semi-outdoor settings. They are also suitable for weak current systems in ordinary office buildings and residential communities, such as organizing network and monitoring cables, providing a safe and orderly laying channel for various cables while balancing protective performance and usage costs.

Specific Description

Base Material

Usually Q235 carbon structural steel; some high-end models use Q355 low-alloy high-strength steel

Galvanized Layer Thickness

Average thickness ≥85μm, local thickness ≥65μm (meeting GB/T 13912 standard requirements)

Thickness Specifications

Conventional 0.8mm-3.0mm; customizable up to 4.0mm for special load-bearing scenarios

Width Range

Common 50mm-800mm; supports customization of extra-large widths (needs to match load-bearing design)

Standard Length

Generally 2000mm, 3000mm; can be cut to 1000mm-6000mm as needed

Salt Spray Resistance

Neutral salt spray test can reach 1000-2000 hours; corrosion resistance in humid environments is better than cold galvanizing

Load-bearing Capacity

Static load 80kg/m-400kg/m (depending on cross-sectional size and plate thickness)

Surface Condition

Uniform zinc layer, silver-gray in color; slight zinc flowers allowed; no defects such as exposed substrate, peeling, or bubbles

Fire Rating

Non-treated as combustible material; can reach Class B1 or A after fireproof coating treatment

Connection Method

Standard bolt connection; some models support channel splicing and flange connection, suitable for exposed or concealed installation scenarios
